Adriatic cruises: Krk to host annual regatta

Travellers visiting Krk during Adriatic cruises will be able to witness a popular local tradition this summer.

Returning for its 14th consecutive outing, the Krk's Sails regatta will take place on the scenic island on August 15th.

Situated in the bay, the event will combine races featuring traditional sailing boats and cruisers.

Holidaymakers visiting Krk during Adriatic cruises will be able to see the regatta get underway at noon, while the evening hours will feature entertainment organised for participants and guests.

Travellers will be able to experience the event and see some of the spectacles it has to offer while enjoying the sights and attractions of Krk's waterfront.

The island is the first port of call on a Croatia sailing trip that departs from the port of Opatija in the north.

Other destinations on the itinerary include the island of Rab, with its medieval buildings and Romanesque churches, and the city of Zadar, where visitors can take some time to explore the Old Town.
