Celebrate the full moon on a Croatia sailing trip

An event being held in Zadar this year could provide some fun experiences for people on Croatia sailing trips.

According to the country's national tourist board, the coastal city and Adriatic cruise port will host a celebration on the night of the full moon on August 13th.

The event will provide an opportunity for local people and visitors to recognise the happy cohabitation of the region by those who live on the mainland and those based on nearby islands.

For centuries, residents of the region have lived harmoniously and traded with one another.

To celebrate this sense of togetherness, Zadar will travel back into the past by shutting down all lighting on the quay and lighting candles and lanterns.

Travellers heading to the destination during Croatia sailing holidays will be able to experience the unique atmosphere that is generated by the event and sample some of the local culinary specialties and wines being served on the seafront.
