Visit new Mljet gallery on Croatia holidays
The island of Mljet could be a stop on Croatia tours following the launch of its first gallery, which will show a wide range of art events.

Named Stara Skula, the building has been revamped from an old school and post office into a venue for art exhibitions, film projections, concerts, video installations, guest speaker presentations and literary evenings.

Surrounded by the naturally beautiful village of Govedari, the gallery will open with a show from a group of alternative artists who will respond to the green and leafy setting of the National Park Mljet.

The Croatian National Tourist Board said: "Many consider it to be the most beautiful and most forested island on the Adriatic, as well as one of the most attractive cultural and historical pearls of the Mediterranean."

Art enthusiasts could also check out an exhibition in Split during Croatia holidays this summer, as a display of work by Jagoda Buic is currently showing at the Gallery of Fine Arts in the Adriatic cruise port and will run until August 31st.
