Scotland's qualifier against Croatia in Split the perfect excuse for an Adriatic cruise

Scotlands qualifier against Croatia in Split the perfect excuse for an Adriatic cruise The Scotland international football team's game against Croatia at the Stadion Poljud in Split could provide the perfect excuse for Scottish football fans to go on a Croatia holiday.

The Scottish Daily Record today confirmed that Scotland's crucial 2014 World Cup qualifier against Croatia is set to take place at the Stadion Poljud.

With capacity for 35,000, the ground is one of the top stadiums in Croatia and the home of top side Hadjuk Split.

It promises to be a special event for Scottish football fans and Croatia holidaymakers too, with the game set for an 8pm kick-off on June 7th, 2013.

With plenty of time to go until that date, fans may consider a visit to Split as part of a Croatia holiday in the popular Balkan region.

Split is a popular stopping point for Croatia tours across the region and more importantly offers plenty of opportunities for an Adriatic cruise, given its coastal location.

A trip in the summer of 2012 could be combined with one of the popular dance music festivals in the region too.

Neutral football fans may be tempted to go on a Croatia cruise to the city come 2013, with superstars like Luka Modric and Ivan Rakitic set to be on display.ADNFCR-2466-ID-801222368-ADNFCR
