EU membership set to open up Croatia holiday potential

EU membership set to open up Croatia holiday potential Joining the European Union could open up a wealth of easy-to-access Croatia holiday opportunities, according to a leading tourism expert.

Croatia is set to sign up to the European Union (EU) on July 1st 2013, in a move that National Tourist Board director Nico Bulic believes could provide a major boost to the region.

Those eager to embark on sailing holidays in Croatia could be among those likely to benefit from the change, which could open up more travel routes to the region.

"There will be no border crossing - 80 per cent of people come [over the border] by private car, but now there will be no queuing, no border crossing," Bulic explained.

"They can come and go directly to the coast without any stopping," he added.

The change could provide a major boost to festivalgoers keen to combine a Croatia holiday experience with a music event or two in the region.

This summer is already promising to be a memorable one for those looking at a Sail Croatia holiday, with the likes of DJ Yoda, Skrillez and De La Soul all set to visit  the region.ADNFCR-2466-ID-801302567-ADNFCR
