Tom Jones to provide 'The Voice' for a Croatia holiday

The return of Tom Jones to the Balkans for a special concert in Pula this summer could be the perfect excuse to book a Croatia holiday and enjoy the voice of the Welsh crooner in person.

According to a report from Croatian daily newspaper Slobodna Dalmacija, Jones is set to play a special concert in the Adriatic cruise hotspot of Pula on August 14th.

It could provide a rare opportunity to see the Welsh wonder in action with the 72-year-old singer likely to grab much of the press attention in the region following his recent starring role on the BBC One talent show "The Voice".

Jones's contribution to the show, which sees him pit his musical wits against fellow judges Danny O'Donoghue, Will I Am and Jessie J, has drawn a wholly positive reaction from music fans of all ages, with the international star offering some sound advice for the talented artists on display.

His appearance reinforced his position as a part of the UK's music royalty, a place which had already gained some credence following his barnstorming appearance at the Glastonbury festival in 2009.

With hits such as "It's Not Unusual", "Delilah" and "What's New Pussycat", he remains the kind of act to attract music fans of all ages and backgrounds and is likely to prove a popular addition to the already busy Croatia holiday season.

Coming to Pula, he will find a city steam in sun, sea and most importantly Croatia sailing with Adriatic cruises an established fixture among the many attractions offered by this wonderful corner of Europe.

Jones will be familiar with the region too, having played a previous concert in Croatia last November. Back then, the Welshman was singing to packed crowds in Zagreb.

This time round, a more intimate gig could be in store, with reports indicating that less than 5,000 tickets are set to go on sale for the Pula concert.
