Pula festival ready to make a Seasplash during Croatia sailing season

Combining hip-hop, drum’n’bass, electronic and dance music genres among others, SeaSplash remains an essential part of the Croatia sailing season.

It all starts on Saturday May 12th, with a special promo party scheduled to take place in the Croatian capital of Zagreb. Effectively signalling the beginning of the music festival season in the Balkans, the event is set to feature memorable DJ sets from the likes of Dirty Beatz and Plant.

Fast forward six weeks and Thursday July 19th sees the start of the main event, with Seasplash descending on the idyllic city of Pula. Situated at the southern tip of the Istria peninsula, Pula is the largest city in the region and remains a popular visiting place for anyone eager to enjoy a sailing holiday in Croatia, thanks to the close proximity of the clear blue Adriatic sea.

The city offers its fair share of culture too, from the local delicacies of wine and fish of the region, right through to the Roman architecture that litters the streets of this Balkans paradise. With the festival scheduled to run until Sunday July 22nd, combining an all-out party experience at this memorable music mash-up with a few tranquil days in this summertime city could prove the perfect Croatian cocktail this season.

Four days of the most diverse music concerts, DJs and VJs spread across five impressive stages at the Fort Punta Christo site is the perfect way to get things started with chill out zones, basketball tournaments, workshops and a unique bazaar all set to grace the festival site.

Meanwhile buses and boats will be making regular trips to the nearby Pula, allowing for a Croatia holiday with a touch of cultural sight-seeing for those eager to explore.

With the likes of UK Dub acts like Jah Free set to grace the stage at the event, this could be one fantastic way to mark the beginning of summer.
