Holidaymakers invited to join The Cult this summer

Legendary UK rockers The Cult are set to bring their unique brand of stadium rock to the city of Split this summer, in a gig that could be the perfect evening's entertainment on a Croatia holiday.

First formed in 1983, The Cult have spent much of the last three decades living up to their name, with a fusion of heavy rock stylings and Doors-inspired mysticism seeing them gain a reputation as one of the top live acts of their era.

While the years have ticked on and much has changed for the group, the presence of songwriting duo Billy Duffy and Ian Astbury means that much of the driving force behind the group's rocking sound remains today.

In a live setting the pair can usually be relied upon to provide the audience with a thrill or two as well, with Duffy conducting the band via his now-legendary guitar licks and Astbury providing the much needed vocals.

The group's back-catalogue meanwhile ensures that fans will have plenty of memorable hits to fall back on during any live show, with the likes of "Love Removal Machine" and "Fire Woman" sure to get the crowd pumped.

For our money though, few tracks compared to the classic slice of 80s psychedelica that is "She Sells Sanctuary".

Still a favourite among DJs rocking Manchester's Indie club scene, the opportunity to see the song and the group in the Croatia holiday paradise of Split may prove too good to resist for the musically minded among you.

A visit to the Balkans city for the event could also tie in nicely with a trip to the region, where the nearby Adriatic Sea also offers many a boating trip for those seeking sailing holidays in Croatia.
