Simian Mobile Disco set for Club Papaya

Tech house heroes Simian Mobile Disco look set to bring their unique brand of electronic beats to the ever-popular Club Papaya on Zrce Beach on the Island of Pag this summer.

Hailing from London, the duo of James Ford and Jas Shaw have been producing cutting-edge beats for the likes of the Arctic Monkeys, the Klaxons and Florence + The Machine for the best part of a decade.

Essentially a DJ duo, the group's work has evolved into so much more, from their fabled analogue recording techniques for a host of major artists, right through to their unique live appearances that have seen them emerge as ones to savour on the UK house scene.

This summer sees Simian Mobile Disco on the road again too, with the group set off on a Croatia holiday of sorts to the legendary island of Pag on July 17th.

Once there, the duo will descend upon Club Papaya on Zrce Beach where they will be performing alongside Riva Starr.

The gig is part of this summer's Papaya Day & Night Festival, a new live music experience that is fast emerging as Croatia's answer to the once-popular Ibiza club scene.

Here, music fans will be treated to a whole host of big name DJing acts with Dutch legend Armin Van Buuren undoubtedly the biggest among them.

The exotic locale of Pag meanwhile will provide plenty for those with a penchant for beach-based sun gazing, all alternatively an Adriatic cruise or two for anyone eager to explore any one of the surrounding islands situated just off the coast of Croatia itself.

Papaya Day & Night Festival is just one of the many attractions on offer to travellers in the Balkans this summer too, with festivals such as Outlook and Hideout offering the usual mix of music, sun, sea and Croatia sailing to anyone with an eye for adventure.
