Experience the Days of Diocletian on Croatia sailing holidays

There will be a special experience on offer to people who visit Split during Croatia sailing holidays this month as the city hosts its Days of Diocletian event.

This historical festival is themed around the Roman emperor Diocletian, who lived in the third and fourth centuries and left a legacy in Split in the form of a grand palace.

One of the highlights of the Days of Diocletian festival will be a fashion show presented by Bozena Martincevic, a well-known local designer.

She will showcase work completed over the past 40 years and highlight the links between local history and fashion trends, the Croatian Times reports.

People who stop in Split during their Croatia sailing holidays can gain an authentic experience of the area's heritage by visiting Diocletian's Palace, which has been designated a Unesco World Heritage site.

There are several other historic destinations that can be visited during Croatia cruises, including the popular coastal city of Dubrovnik.
