Get into theatre on Croatia sailing holidays

Travellers who visit Rijeka as part of a Croatia sailing holiday this year will be able to absorb some of the city's culture.

The annual Theatre Festival will run from May 3rd to 11th.

According to the Croatian National Tourist Board, the event is known all over Europe for supporting an unconventional approach to theatre.

Travellers will be able to visit Rijeka during Croatia sailing holidays to see stage productions by companies from the UK, Switzerland, Belgium and Germany.

The variety of guest performers and different shows set to appear at the Rijeka Theatre Festival this year means that it is likely to "surprise us in a pleasant way", according to the country's tourist board.

Rijeka is located near the port of Opatija, which serves as the starting point for a Croatia sailing holiday itinerary that takes travellers on a tour to Krk, Rab, Zadar and other hotspots on the Adriatic coast.
