Croatia holidays: Programme revealed for Dubrovnik Summer Festival Travellers planning to visit the Dubrovnik Summer Festival during a Croatia sailing holiday this year can now start deciding which events and performances they would like to attend.

The festival's directors announced the preliminary programme for 2010 at the recent St Blaise celebration in the city.

People who visit Dubrovnik during a Croatia sailing holiday will have the chance to attend a variety of events, including productions of plays such as The Government Inspector by Nikolai Gogol, an influential Russian realist writer.

The music programme will attract a number of major orchestras to Dubrovnik, including the Zagreb Philharmonic, which will perform pieces from Carmina Burana, a musical composition by Carl Orff, on July 11th.

Entertainment will also be provided by the Giuseppe Verdi Symphony Orchestra of Milan, the Zagreb Saxophone Quartet and many other groups.

People who would like to visit the Dubrovnik Summer Festival as part of a Croatia sailing holiday should arrange to stop off in the city between July 10th and August 25th.
