Absorb some culture on a Dubrovnik cruise

People taking Dubrovnik cruises this year will be able to absorb some of the city's unique culture at a number of major events.

The local tourist board revealed that figures including city mayor Andro Vlahusic and Ana Hilje Cagalj, head of the department of culture, recently met to discuss events planned for the coming summer.

One of the subjects covered in the meeting was the Libertas Film Festival, which provides a platform for new directors and producers to showcase their work to a wide audience.

Travellers planning to visit Dubrovnik during a Croatia sailing holiday this year will be able to attend the festival between July 2nd and 6th.

Cultural representatives at the meeting also discussed the second Dubrovnik Fashion Week, an event that was held for the first time in July last year.

Mr Vlahusic and the otherattendees stressed that the city will give its full support to these events, as well as other cultural occasions that will interest people taking Croatia sailing holidays this year.
