Croatia holidays: Dance festival to be held in Split

People planning to visit Split during a Croatia sailing holiday this year might have the chance to enjoy some memorable entertainment at the Dance Week Festival.

The annual celebration of the art form is arranged by the Croatian Institute for Movement and Dance.

It will be held from May 24th to June 2nd in Split, Rijeka and the capital city of Zagreb, the Croatian Times reports.

The festival could feature a line-up of performances by a wide range of artists, with the organising company reportedly inviting applications from professional choreographers and performers across the country.

Dancers based overseas who have Croatian origins are also free to put their names forward to participate in the event, according to the newspaper.

People planning to visit Split during a Croatia sailing holiday will be able to attend several other events in the city, including the annual Summer Festival.

Adriatic cruise passengers should stop off in the destination in July or August to check out this year's cultural celebration.
