See some local photography on an Adriatic cruise

See some local photography on an Adriatic cruise Travellers planning to visit Dubrovnik during an Adriatic cruise this year will have the opportunity to absorb some local culture at a photography exhibition.

The display, which is titled Andrija Orlic: Photographs 1950-1995, will be opened at the Rector's Palace on April 13th.

Art enthusiasts will be able to stop off in Dubrovnik during an Adriatic cruise to see the showcase before it closes on May 9th.

Orlic's photographs offer a fascinating insight into Croatia in the early 1950s, when the country was undergoing major social, technological and cultural changes.

His work explores themes including loneliness and isolation, particularly in relation to some of the region's remote islands and the people that live on them.

Many of the images also centre on stones and rocks of various kinds, from man-made walls to dramatic cliffs.

People who stop off in Dubrovnik during a Croatia sailing holiday can expand their cultural horizons at other attractions such as the War of Independence Museum and the Cathedral Treasury.ADNFCR-2466-ID-19717264-ADNFCR
