See Goya's prints on a Croatia sailing holiday

See Goyas prints on a Croatia sailing holiday Croatia sailing holidays will boast an added attraction for art enthusiasts this year, with a major exhibition set to be launched in Split.

A display of prints by Francisco Jose de Goya, a Spanish artist who lived and worked in the 18th and 19th centuries, will be on view at the Gallery of Fine Arts from May 15th to June 27th, the Croatian Times reports.

Goya is considered one of the 'old masters' - a group of European painters of great skill that included the likes of Vermeer and Velazquez - and also one of the first modern artists.

Those who would like to absorb some culture during a Croatia sailing holiday can stop off in Split to see the exhibition, which was arranged in association with the ETH Collection of Prints and Drawings in Zurich.

Last year, the Swiss organisation helped arrange a display of modern American prints in Dubrovnik, another popular city that travellers can visit during an Adriatic cruise.ADNFCR-2466-ID-19726795-ADNFCR
