Croatia holiday 'can be an artistic experience'

People keen to get in on the latest art zeitgeist should consider checking out a few local galleries on their Croatia holiday.

The Croatian art scene is getting a lot of attention abroad, the Croatian Times has reported.

A major collection of works by Croatian artists is to show in New York's MC Gallery from 25th July.

Around the same time, a touring exhibition which started in Croatia will land in Indianapolis.

Its concept sums up the quirky, cute side of the art scene in Croatia.

The objects in the show are mementoes of "the broken-hearted" such as coffee cups and letters.

Croatia holiday travellers may have added their own treasures to the interactive exhibition, which aims to collect as many objects and stories as possible.

Those who want to see why the scene is making a splash internationally should go along to Croartgallery, ART Gallery Balen and Agency E&A.

It may also be worth going along to the Dubrovnik Summer Festival, which runs from 10th July to 25th August.
