'Croatia has got its own vibe'

Croatia 'is Croatia' and shouldn't be compared to any other global hotspots, according to an internationally-renowned group.

In an interview with the Sun newspaper, the sell-out dance act Swedish House Mafia, known for their performances in Ibiza, said that Croatia should not be compared to anywhere else in the world.

When asked by the paper whether they play in any of the 'new Ibizas', they said: "Like where? We shouldn't insult anywhere by calling it that. Ibiza is Ibiza. Croatia is Croatia and so on....all growing their own cultures and amazing vibes."

Croatia's reputation as an international dance location is growing.

People looking for a Croatia holiday with a difference could consider travelling to the Soundwave Festival, which runs from July 23rd to July 25th.

The line up includes Zero 7, Toddla T, Gentlemans Dub Club and Dam Funk.

It is held in Petrcane, an older fisherman's village near Zadar, and was once described as "perhaps the summer's most beautiful site" by the British publication Time Out.
