Croatia holidays: Starigrad to host inaugural film festival Travellers planning to stop off in Zadar during a Croatia sailing holiday this year might have the opportunity to check out a new festival.

The first Starigrad Paklenica Film Festival will take place in the town of Starigrad, just outside Zadar, between August 8th and 14th.

People taking Adriatic cruises can visit the destination to see a range of music documentaries, which will be divided into shorts and feature length works.

A varied music programme has also been arranged for each day of the festival, with matinees and post-screening concerts taking place in different locations around town.

Starigrad is located on either side of the main coastal rode linking Zadar and Rijeka and is often used as a base for people exploring Paklenica National Park, which offers numerous walking and climbing opportunities.
