Discover some new movies on an Adriatic cruise Adriatic cruise passengers might notice a buzz of excitement around the city of Split in September as it prepares to host a high-profile cultural event.

The 15th International Festival of New Film will take place in the popular holiday destination from September 11th to 18th.

All sorts of films are showcased at the event every year, from studio-produced features to independent shorts that explore subversive and sometimes controversial themes.

People planning to visit Split during a Croatia sailing holiday will be able to see festival activities taking place at various venues around the city, such as the Central, Karaman and Golden Gate movie theatres.

There will also be a retrospective at the city's Youth Centre dedicated to Nam June Paik, a Korean-born American who was one of the first people to use video as an artistic medium.
