Get into theatre on an Adriatic cruise

Travellers enjoying Adriatic cruises this summer will have the opportunity to enjoy some culture as well as scenic beaches, idyllic islands and bustling coastal towns, with Dubrovnik set to host an event celebrating modern theatre.

Le Petit Festival du Theatre will take place in the historic city from August 27th to September 3rd.

According to the Dubrovnik Tourist Board, the aim of the festival is to "unify nations, cultures and religions through the arts".

People planning to visit the destination during a Croatia sailing trip will be able to see performances by companies from the US, France, Sweden, Germany, Serbia and the host country.

The event will have a new venue this year - the Lazareti complex just outside the city walls.

Holidaymakers who have the chance to visit the location during an Adriatic cruise can enjoy views of the port, the fort of St John and the island of Lokrum.
