Adriatic cruises: Film Festival to get underway in Split

Film fans will have the opportunity to enjoy some movies under the stars if they visit Split during an Adriatic cruise this year.

The fourth Zvoncac film festival will get underway in the city on August 27th and run until September 10th, the Croatian Times reports.

Completely free, the event invites visitors to sit down and enjoy a picnic outdoors while watching films such as The Code, which will launch the programme.

Morgan Freeman, Antonio Banderas, Rade Serbedzija and Radha Mitchell all star in the movie, which tells the story of a veteran thief who teams up with a younger man to pull off one last job and repay his debts to the mob.

In addition to the films, people visiting Split during a Croatia holiday will be able to enjoy some of the sports and games that will be taking place during the festival.

Travellers can embark on an Adriatic cruise to combine big cities with relaxing destinations such as Omis and Korcula.
