Get into photography on a Croatia holiday

Get into photography on a Croatia holiday Travellers can add some culture to their Croatia holidays this year by paying a visit to an exhibition in Split.

A display of images captured by Nikola Solic, a photojournalist working for the Reuters news agency, opened at the Fotoklub gallery yesterday (August 31st), the Croatian Times reports.

People planning to visit the historic city during an Adriatic cruise will be able to see the exhibition until September 21st.

The display showcases a number of pictures taken by Solic in January 2006, when he was based in Baghdad and given the responsibility of taking photographs to represent the Iraq war.

One of the highlights of the selection is an image of a helicopter with the blazing sun in the background, which was named Reuters' photo of the year in 2006.

Split is home to several cultural institutes and galleries that travellers can visit during a Croatia holiday, such as the Ethnographic Museum and the Mestrovic Gallery.ADNFCR-2466-ID-800047610-ADNFCR
