Sting to play in Croatia

Brits enjoying sailing holidays in Croatia next month might wish to take time out from their schedule for a special performance from a famous UK artist.

Former Police front man Sting is set to take to the stage in Zagreb on November 8th, making his first appearance in the Mediterranean country for two years.

According to the Croatian Times, his last performance was with Edin Zaramazov, but fans will be in for a different spectacle entirely this time around.

The artist, who has also tried his hand at acting in movies such as Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels, is set to work with the renowned Royal Philharmonic Orchestra as part of his Symphonicity tour.

A number of adaptations have been made to the arrangement of some of Sting's biggest hits, ensuring the audience will be in for a unique experience, even if they have seen him perform before.

The Englishman told HRT - Croatian national television - that he has asked the orchestra to be "precise and dynamic" to ensure an exciting performance.

Sting's hits include Fields of Gold, Englishman in New York, Shape of my Heart, Russians and Fragile.
