Dubrovnik Carnival to entertain Croatia holiday visitors

The city of Dubrovnik will host a special event this year offering an insight into some of the unique and memorable experiences on offer to people taking Croatia holidays.

Dubrovnik Carnival Fest 2011 will run from February 4th to March 6th 2011.

Held under the patronage of the local tourist board and the city council, the festival brings a range of colourful, musical events to various venues.

People visiting Dubrovnik during Croatia holidays will be entertained by more than 1,000 performers from several carnival cities in six different countries - Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Slovenia, Montenegro, Macedonia and Albania.

Highlights of the programme will include acrobatic displays, carnival parades and live music performances at venues such as Stradun and Fort Revelin in the old town area.

There will also be complementary art exhibitions, parties, maskedballs and much more to enjoy.

People planning Croatia sailing trips later in the year might have the opportunity to experience part of the Dubrovnik Summer Festival, which will run from July 11th to August 25th.
