Discover the Days of Diocletian on an Adriatic cruise

Discover the Days of Diocletian on an Adriatic cruise Days of Diocletian will return this summer, offering some special experiences for Adriatic cruise guests.

The highly popular annual festival will take place in Split, a leading Croatia holiday destination, from August 19th to 22nd.

It is held every year to recognise the city's rich history, which is represented by Diocletian's Palace, an ancient Roman monument, Unesco World Heritage site and tourist attraction that dates back to the turn of the fourth century AD.

Travellers visiting Split during Adriatic cruises can see all sorts of impressive spectacles during the festival, including the sight of hundreds of people dressed up in togas and tunics walking the streets around the former palace.

There is also a waterfront procession of carriages and a food fair inviting visitors to sample a range of tasty Mediterranean cuisine.

People interested in taking in some history during a Croatia holiday this year can also pay a visit to Dubrovnik to see its fortified walls and old churches.ADNFCR-2466-ID-800459954-ADNFCR
