Check out the Split Summer Festival on a Croatia cruise

Croatia cruise guests will be offered culture and entertainment during the Split Summer Festival this year.

Returning for its 56th outing, the prestigious event will get underway on July 14th and continue until August 14th.

The festival celebrates opera, music, theatre, ballet and other art forms with a diverse line-up of concerts and performances at venues such as the Peristyle and the basement halls of Diocletian's Palace.

Travellers visiting Split during sailing holidays can look out for highlights including the operas Otello by Giuseppe Verdi, Splitski Akvarel by Ivo Tijardovic and Ero the Joker by James Gotovac.

Jazz great Django Reinhardt will be the subject ofa tribute performance by the Mate Matisic trio, while exhibitions running in Split will showcase Croatian newspaper photographs, animated films, sculptures, paintings and more.

People looking forward to Croatia cruises over the coming months will also have the opportunity to enjoy some culture and entertainment during the Dubrovnik Summer Festival, which will run from July 10th to August 25th.
