Roger Moore to visit music festival during Croatia holiday

Sir Roger Moore will be taking a Croatia holiday this year to be part of a music festival in Dubrovnik.

The 11th Julian Rachlin and Friends chamber music festival will be held in the famous Adriatic cruise hotspot from August 27th to September 8th.

Sir Roger will not be the only famous figure visiting Dubrovnik to attend the event, with Hollywood actor John Malkovich also set to appear.

According to the Croatian National Tourist Board, the former James Bond will add a humorous element to the festival by inspecting 'the often ignored fun and comical side of classical music', while Malkovich will take on the role of the music critic.

Described as "one of the most significant chamber music festivals in Europe", Julian Rachlin and Friends features evening concerts in various venues around Dubrovnik, including the Rector'sPalace.

Travellers stopping off in the city during Croatia holidays will be able to hear ensembles such as the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra and the Academy of St Martin in the Fields giving recitals of compositions by the likes of Mozart, Vivaldi and Prokofiev.
