Brits could head to Plitvice Lakes on Croatia holidays

Brits could head to Plitvice Lakes on Croatia holidays Those wondering where to see the best sights Croatia holidays have to offer may be tempted to check out Plitvice Lakes, which have been described as the country's Eden.

According to the Daily Mail, the national park is home to some of the most beautiful waterfalls in the world and visitors are always amazed by its lush greenery and scenic landscapes.

Surrounded by the mountains Pljesevica, Mala Kapela and Medvedak, the region features sparkling blue lakes in a unique formation which has weathered away the limestone and chalk to create dreamy waterfalls.

"The picturesque park has 16 stunning blue-green Plitvice Lakes, which are separated by natural dams of travertine limestone on the Plitvice plateau," the newspaper explained.

Thanks to places such as the Plitvice Lakes National Park, Croatia holiday hotspots were recently among the locations showcased in the new issue of National Geographic Traveller, which included a special picture feature on the nation.
