Adriatic cruises could offer 'romantic' getaway

Adriatic cruises could offer romantic getaway One expert has said that more people are enjoying taking in the views of a new part of the world by boat, which could encourage holidaymakers to consider Adriatic cruises.

With many islands to explore on Croatia tours, a cruise could be the perfect way to see the whole of the country and, according to the Daily Mail, there may not be any holiday experience that compares to a boating trip.

The newspaper explained that the cruise market is the fastest growing in the tourism market and has weathered the effects of the recession better than most other industries.

"It's not hard to see why. There is nothing more romantic than the sea breeze in your hair as you are whipped across oceans to explore foreign lands," the publication said.

Former royal correspondentfor the BBC Jennie Bond recently wrote for the Mirror that Adriatic cruises could take in the island of Rab, where Edward VIII and his lover Wallis Simpson took a trip during his short reign.
