Croatia tourism ministry signs contracts with 10 tourist agencies

Croatia tourism ministry signs contracts with 10 tourist agencies Croatia's tourism ministry has signed contracts with ten travel agencies as part of its continuing efforts to boost the popularity of Croatia holidays.

Tourism minister Damir Bajs signed the contracts on a family farm near the small Croatian town Sveti Ivan Zelina in a bid to reignite tourism in rural parts of the country, as well as in rural parts of nearby islands, reports the Croatian Times.

The new agreement forms part of the government's Get to Know Croatia tourism campaign, which aims to publicise the country's scenic beauty to an international market.

Mr Bajs said the new agreement aims to bring together a wide range of relevant parties in order to boost Croatia's tourism industry.

"The programme is a great challenge because it relies on the cooperation of locals and other different partners who can, only by working together, attract more tourists to the country," he told the CroatianTimes.

Croatia's tourism advertising campaign is a joint effort between the ministry of tourism, the Croatian Tourist Board and a range of tourist agencies.
