Zagreb introduces new travel card for tourists

Zagreb introduces new travel card for tourists The Zagreb tourist board has introduced a new travel card designed to help those on Croatia holidays in the city maximise public transport in the capital.

As the premier city of the Balkan nation, Zagreb represents one of the top destinations for almost any Croatia holiday.

According to the Zagreb tourist board, the city offers a wealth of opportunities with music concerts and sporting events backed up by 65 art galleries and museums.

Now, in a bid to help tourists navigate the 650 square kilometres of city, a new travel card has been created, offering unlimited use of the Zagreb Municipal Transit System (ZET) that operates trams and buses throughout the capital.

As a further bonus, the card also provides museum entry discounts and reductions at many top Zagreb restaurants.

Helpfully, the Zagreb Card can be purchased online, with the makers keen to stress that "whatever the case may be, Zagreb welcomes you and opens its doors to you".

Prices are welcoming too, with a 24-hour card costing 60 HRK (£7) while the 72-hour card is available for 90 hrk (£10).
