Croatia Holidays are "heaven for sailors" says Tourist Board

Croatia Holidays are heaven for sailors says Tourist Board Vacationers looking for sailing holidays in Croatia are spoilt for choice, according to Nico Bulic, director of the Croatian National Tourist Board.

The past few years have seen Adriatic cruises along western coast of Croatia emerge as a popular pastime among travellers in the region.

With summers offering warm temperatures and opportunities for swimming, partying and sailing, cities like Dubrovnik and Split are perfect stops during a Croatia cruise.

Speaking at the World Travel Market event in London, Mr Bulic concurred with this assessment describing Croatia as "heaven for sailors".

"When God was giving land to the people he forgot the Croats, and when they came crying for a piece of land God gave them the piece he was keeping for himself," Mr Bulic added.

The assessment of the Balkans region as heaven for sailors goes some way to explaining the abundance of ports and harbours in across the Adriatic coast.

Visitors looking to cruise Croatia as part of a summer break can make use of 23 modern marinas.

The fun is not just on the coast either, with the average Croatia holiday offering the chance to get involved in the varied nightlife and summertime music festivals that have won the country plaudits in recent months.ADNFCR-2466-ID-801217294-ADNFCR
