Booking a Croatia holiday online? Make sure you know your Zadar from your Zagreb

When booking a Croatia holiday this summer, make sure you know the difference between a Croatia tour and an Adriatic cruise.

That is according to Nick Dalton, a freelance travel writer, who advised travellers keen on a Croatia holiday to select details of their trip carefully when buying online.

The comments came after research by LV= Travel Insurance showed that one in seven people admitted to making mistakes when booking online.

In these instances, common errors included typing the wrong date or even wrong name. In the instance of booking a Croatia holiday though, the problems can be much worse.

After all, Croatia tours travelling routes like Ljubljana to Split offer a completely different experience than, say, an Adriatic cruise from Split or Dubrovnik.

"A lot of people online these days are booking holidays," Mr Dalton said.

"If they are online then they can avoid making mistakes by simply concentrating on what they are doing online during their booking."
