Dolphins spotted during Dalmatian coast boat trip

Dolphins spotted during Dalmatian coast boat trip Holidaymakers enjoying a Croatia cruise off the Dalmatian coast back in September were treated to the rare sight of a group of 15 dolphins, it has been revealed.

A group of travellers, who were enjoying an Adriatic cruise seven weeks ago, spotted the school of dolphins.

A video of the mammals surfaced on the Huffington Post last week and serves as a timely reminder of the kind of attractions on offer to anyone considering a sailing holiday in Croatia.

The group were travelling just two miles off the coast of Croatia, having taken in the sights of Split, when they spotted the group of dolphins moving in a group of 15 or more.

Writing in The Huffington Post, Andy Plesser said: "The boat's captain told us that the dolphin sighting in this part of the Adriatic Sea occurred from time to time … we were lucky."

The summer months are traditionally the best time for anyone looking to spot these beautiful mammals during an Adriatic cruise.

The news follows the story of Miljenko Ljubicic Cico, who found a 1.5-metre long crestfish, traditionally seen in the warm waters south of the equator, during a fishing trip in thr Adriatic.

This September spotting of the dolphins came after Croatia enjoyed a memorable summer heat wave across cities like Split, Hvar and Dubrovnik.ADNFCR-2466-ID-801223858-ADNFCR
