Introducing the Crocktail– the perfect drink to accompany a Croatia cruise?

Travellers have been given another reason to consider a Croatia tour this summer, after a resident mixologist created Croatia’s first cocktail made solely from Balkan ingredients.

The new creation is set to offer holidaymakers a refreshing alternative to your average tequila sunrise or pina colada, with the new mixture created exclusively for the Croatia holiday market.

Marin Nekifa developed the new drink, using a variety of popular local ingredients to create a distinctive taste.

These include Maraschino liqueur, a clear liqueur that is flavoured using Marasca cherries found predominantly around the city of Zadar and all along the Dalmatian coast.

In addition to this, the drink features sour cherry juice along with a fresh squeeze of lemon juice.

Served with ice, the one-of-a-kind Crocktail comes decorated with arancini, a Dalmatian sweet prepared using candied orange peel.

Combine these ingredients together and you have a drink that is so enticing, it could soon see partygoers and drink connoisseurs descending on the region.
