Croatia holiday favourite Dubrovnik praised by New York Times

The New York Times has listed Dubrovnik as one of its 45 places to visit in 2012, with anyone travelling there sure to enjoy an Adriatic cruise.

In the article, Dubrovnik is described the "Saint Tropez of the Balkans" thanks to its heady mix of modern and classic delights.

With the city situated on the Dalmatian coast, the range of Dubrovnik cruises on offer are a modern addition to the region, created for partygoers with a fondness for sun, sea and sand.

The stunning medieval architecture of the city itself meanwhile supplies the classical sights, with Dubrovnik gaining recent exposure after HBO drama Game of Thrones began filming in the city.
