Dalmatia more accessible for British visitors in search of a top Croatia holiday Croatia cruises along the Dalmatian coast are becoming increasingly accessible to English visitors, according to the Dubrovnik and Neretva County Tourist Board.

The comments come as representatives from the region's tourist board gear up for the Destinations Show in Manchester later this week.

The tourism-focused event, which is being sponsored by The Times, will see representatives at Manchester's EventCity venue from Thursday January 19th until Sunday January 22nd .

Encompassing the cities of Split, Zadar and Dubrovnik, Dalmatia has established a reputation as one of the top regions in Croatia for an Adriatic cruise.

More importantly, recent months have seen the availability of low-cost flights to the region, to accompany the range of low cost Croatia tours, also rise.

Jet2Holidays recently confirmed new flights were set to be offered from Newcastle to Dubrovnik while Ryanair added Zadar to its routes from 2012.

Speaking in an interview with Digital Journal, Sara Salamunic from the national Dubrovnik & Neretva County tourist board reflected on the regions "long and happy tradition of British visitors".

"The expansion of regional flights from northern cities has made Dalmatia more accessible for many British holidaymakers," she added.
