Croatia holidays are cheapest in Europe, says research

A sailing holiday in Croatia could provide the cheapest way for your to enjoy a stay in the Mediterranean, according to new research published today.

According to reports from The Croatian Times, research conducted by the Institute of Tourism in Zagreb highlighted the value of a Croatia holiday.

To come up with the results, countries in the Mediterranean were given a special seaside tourism score calculated by officials.

These scores were calculated based on the cost of transportation, restaurants, recreation and opportunities for cultural exploration among other things.

According to the findings produced, Croatia was found to be one per cent cheaper than the holiday favourite of Spain and two per cent cheaper than Turkey and Malta.

France and Greece also lagged behind in terms of holiday values, with Croatia holidays some ten and 26 per cent cheaper respectively.

Recent years have seen activities such as Dubrovnik Cruises and Croatia tours emerge as popular activities among those eager to explore the country.

This summer promises to be a memorable one too with festivals like Outlook and Hideout.
