More Brits seeking a Croatia holiday, according to figures

An increasing number of British consumers are seeking a Croatia holiday this summer, according to figures published today (February 8th).

January is a traditionally busy time for holiday bookings in the UK, as the British public looks to banish the post-Christmas blues with plans for a summer getaway.

But while the usual mix of Costa destinations continued to prove popular among travellers, there was a new kid on the block in the form of the more exotic Croatia holiday.

However, according to booking figures with Thomson, a whopping 55 per cent of online holiday searches were for Croatia so far this year.

Recent years have seen the European nation emerge as a popular holiday setting for youngsters keen for an alternative adventure around the continent.

The availability of Croatia tours via bus around the visually impressive country alongside ample opportunities to sail Croatia in one of the many boat tours on offer have provided arguably the biggest draw for those looking for a holiday on a budget.
