Mediterranean heat wave hits Croatia

Mediterranean heat wave hits Croatia With Croatia bracing itself for the summer heat wave already, an Adriatic cruise around the cool waters of the west coast may be the only course of action.

Reports emerging from the Balkans this week appear to have confirmed every Croatia holidaymakers biggest hope – the summer sun has arrived in eastern Europe.

While the Croatia holiday season has yet to kick into full swing, it seems that temperatures in the region are already beginning to soar.

According to reports from the Croatian Times, the Dalmatian coastal city of Split has been enjoying temperatures of 25 degrees celsius this week.

To put that into context, the temperature recorded in London over the same period came in at a rather underwhelming 13 degrees Celsius.

These warm temperatures in Croatia are just the start too, with broadcasters in the region expecting things to really hot up come the weekend.

Initial indications suggest that temperatures could climb to as much as 38 degrees Celsius come Saturday!

The Ministry of Health in the region and the meteorological office have called on local residents and holidaymakers alike to take all of the necessary precautions in these exotic temperatures with the main advice being to wear plenty of suntan lotion, avoid prolonged periods in the sun and to drink plenty of fluids.

As an additional aside, officials are recommending visitors avoid any strenuous work, particularly in the period running from 10am to 5pm.

Fortunately, for anyone heading on a sailing holiday over the coming week, this advice plays perfectly alongside any one of the Croatia cruises on offer in the Balkans.

Sailing under cover, and with plenty of drinks and fine tunes to enjoy, each trip provides the perfect opportunity to sit back, relax and take in the natural unheralded beauty of the region.

With over 1,000 islands to explore as part of an Adriatic cruise, you are sure to find something of interest on one of these memorable party voyages.

And with the sea on hand to provide the perfect way to cool off, while staying out in the sun may not be recommended, Croatia sailing certainly is.ADNFCR-2466-ID-801390872-ADNFCR
