Tomcraft set for Croatia cruise to secret gig

Popular German DJ and producer Tomcraft could be set for a spot of Croatia cruising  with plans afoot for a gig at an as yet unnamed location in the Balkans nation this summer.

The musician – born Thomas Bruckner - is a popular name in the world of trance and techno in Europe, with his DJ sets garnering rave reviews.

UK music aficionados will remember him for his May 2003 club anthem “Loneliness” which also marked his breakthrough into the mainstream, with the single hitting number one in England.

Since then, the 37-year-old has steadily built up a catalogue of impressive dance beats and unique collaborations with artists such as Jimmy Pop of the Bloodhound Gang.
Tomcraft has proven particularly popular on the Croatian club scene with regular appearance across the Balkans region.

Back at the turn of the year, the trance master performed at Club Bastion in Osijek, to widespread acclaim.

This time around, details of his appearance remain scarce. According to Tomcraft’s personal website, the DJ will be performing on August 25th, though where is unclear with the website noting the venue is "to be surprised".

Whatever the case, those enjoying a Croatia holiday this weekend could be in for a pleasant surprise if, for instance, the DJ makes an appearance at the party island of Pag and the famed Zrce Beach.

A variety of high-profile DJs and dance music maestros have performed in the region over the last 12 months. Previous highlights have included appearances from the Shapeshifters - known for their hit "Lola's Theme" - and 90s music heroes the Stereo MCs.

Ibiza club master David Morales has also performed in Croatia, while arguably the biggest name to hit the Balkan shores was Norman Cook , aka Fatboy Slim, who provided a
memorable DJ set earlier this year.
