Croatia sailing holidays 'offer value for money'
British travellers could find that their holiday budget stretches far during Croatia sailing trips this year as the country currently offers excellent value for money, according to research.Figures from International Currency Exchange (Ice) show that the pound has increased in value by more than 12 per cent against the Croatian kuna since the beginning of the year.
This makes Croatia one of the ten best destinations for Brits to visit on the basis of fluctuations in the exchange rate over the past six months.
Andrew Hamilton, head of marketing for Ice, said that Croatia is one of a number of "holiday hotspots" that are offering "fantastic value for money".
Mr Hamilton also revealed that his company has seen a 101 per cent increase in orders for the kuna at the beginning of the summer season from people planning Adriatic cruises and other breaks in Croatia.
The latest study from Ice follows previous research which suggested that Brits are "fleeing to Croatia" this year in search of "sun and value".
