Autumn 'an ideal time to take Croatia sailing holidays'
The months of September and October are the best time to take Croatia sailing holidays and other breaks in the country, according to a travel expert. All locations in Dalmatia are "great to visit" during the early autumn period, said Visnja Arambasesc, editor of the In Your Pocket guide to Croatia.
Dalmatia is a region on the eastern coast of the Adriatic Sea that encompasses a number of locations that are popular for Croatia sailing holidays, including Dubrovnik, Split and the island of Rab.
According to Ms Arambasesc, a combination of pleasant weather and good cultural offerings makes September and October the best time to visit Dalmatia.
"The weather is most pleasant during the period of Indian summer - the sea still has a good temperature, it's not so hot during the day and still there are quite a lot of culturalhappenings," she said.
Travellers can arrange Croatia sailing holidays up to mid-October that take in some of Dalmatia's most popular tourist destinations, such as Dubrovnik, Makarska and Korcula.
