Croatia holidays 'cheaper than other European breaks'

Croatia holidays cheaper than other European breaks Travellers taking Croatia holidays this year will benefit from prices that are significantly lower than in other popular travel destinations, according to research by the Post Office.

The organisation carried out a study on the typical items that people are likely to spend money on during beach holidays, which can often add a substantial amount to a budget.

Surveying the cost of six typical holiday items, the Post Office found that the products cost an average of £19.41 in Croatia, compared to £56.50 in Greece and more than £20 in destinations such as Portugal and Italy.

People enjoying Croatia sailing holidays and other breaks in the country this year could also find that meals are much more affordable than in the UK.

"We found that while a family meal costs around £57 in Brighton, it would set UK touristsback much less in Croatia," said Sarah Munro, head of travel services for the Post Office.

Travellers who fancy combining a beach holiday with a city break this summer can choose a Croatia sailing holiday itinerary that takes in destinations such as Dubrovnik and Split.ADNFCR-2466-ID-19282275-ADNFCR
