Keen cyclist recommends a Croatia holiday

A university professor, author and keen bike rider has encouraged active travellers to try a Croatia cycling holiday.

Bill Hennessy is embarking on a cycling tour of Europe this summer and writing about his experiences in a column for the Swampscott Reporter.

According to Mr Hennessy, Croatia holidays are "a dream" for anyone who loves the ocean, with a coastline stretching more than 3,700 miles when its islands are taken into account.

One destination that people on Croatia holidays were urged not to miss is Dubrovnik, with its outdoor cafes, restaurants and views of the Adriatic Sea that are "absolutely stunning".

Concluding his review of his Croatia holiday, Mr Hennessy writes: "The Croatian coast is breathtaking and you will be glad you made the trip."

Travellers can choose to combine two exciting pursuits in a Croatia sail and cycle holiday, which offers the chance to visit destinations such as Hvar, Korcula and Makarska.
