Sail Croatia and visit Jurassic Park

Sail Croatia and visit Jurassic Park As well as stunning beaches and historic towns and villages, Croatia is now home to the Adriatic's first Jurassic Park, with tourists enjoying a Croatia sailing holiday invited to step back in time to a land that time forgot in Istria.

The new theme park, which is located just outside the town of Porec, is the second of its kind in Europe, following on from the recent opening of a similar attraction in Poland, the Croatian Times reports.

Built at a cost of more than €1.2 million (£1.03 million), the 40,000 square metre park boasts eight mobile dinosaurs of between 16 and 24 metres in length.

All the models are mobile and have been built to sound and look like the real thing.

In addition, the Croatian Jurassic Park is set to boast a theatre and trains and other rides by the end of the year.

Aside from the new dinosaur theme park, Porec is a leading attraction for visitors enjoyingCroatian sailing holidays.

Located on the western coast of the popular Istrian peninsular, the historic town is famous for its 6th century Euphrasian Basilica, which has been a UNESCO Heritage Site since 1997.
