Croatia cycle holidays: Brits optimistic about future
Britons planning Croatia cycle holidays and other trips abroad in 2010 are optimistic about the future of the travel market, it has been claimed.Kate Kenward, executive director of the Association of Independent Tour Operators (AITO), said that people have continued to travel this year despite the impact of the credit crunch and the recession.
She also highlighted the widespread opinion that the economic situation will improve next year, meaning that Croatia cycle holidays and other getaways could become a more achievable option for many people.
"We have seen this year that holidays are not something that Britons want to cut back on and, coupled with the feeling that the worst of the recession is behind us, people are more optimistic about their holiday plans for 2010," Ms Kenward commented.
"This is likely to see expenditure rise."
Office for National Statistics figures show that Brits took more than 63 million overseas trips in the 12-month period up to June this year.
People planning Croatia sail and cycle holidays for 2010 will have the opportunity to see the country's stunning coastline and islands and enjoy a unique outdoor experience.
