See Europe's first rotating hotel on Adriatic cruises

See Europes first rotating hotel on Adriatic cruises Travellers who visit the island of Solta during Adriatic cruises in the future will have the opportunity to see a highly unusual sight.

A team of British architects are designing a revolving hotel for the destination, which will be the first property of its kind in Europe.

London-based architecture firm Studio RHE came up with the design to ensure that all guests staying in the hotel will be able to enjoy a sea view during their holiday.

Travellers who visit Solta during Croatia sailing holidays will be able to see the rotating hotel as well as other developments that are being constructed alongside the building, including a 170-berth marina and a yacht club.

Commenting on the idea behind the hotel, architect Richard Hywel Evans said: "In the case of Solta Island the need was simple - every guest should be able to enjoy the breathtaking view and our rotating design provides just that."

Solta features on a Croatia sailing holiday itinerary that begins in Split and visits other Adriatic hotspots such as Korcula and Vis.
