Croatia cycle holidays: Travellers want something different

Croatia sail and cycle holidays and other adventurous trips are becoming increasingly popular as people search for new and exciting experiences.

Sharron Livingston, editor of the Travel Magazine, pointed out that the "heyday" of low-cost breaks made it possible for people to take regular trips abroad.

Many consumers have therefore already tried lots of traditional activities and are interested in some of the unusual experiences offered by Croatia sail and cycle holidays and other adventurous breaks.

Ms Livingston said: "Travellers look for something a little different.

"Culture, adventure, activity and learning holidays offer time-out with a feeling of having done something worthwhile."

She also pointed out that new experiences "are great for after-dinner conversation".

Croatia sailing holidays offer the opportunity for travellers to try a variety of activities as well as cycling, such as white-water rafting on the Cetina river, walking in the Biokovo mountains and scuba diving.
